The Problem
Heavy goods delivery in Algeria has no formal structure. Pricing is opaque, trust is low, and the process relies entirely on personal networks and phone negotiation.
Two core challenges:
For clients : Making the booking process feel structured and legitimate without being so frictionless it raises suspicion. In the Algerian market, a process that feels too easy can signal risk. The UX had to feel guided and deliberate — enough steps to build confidence, not enough to create frustration.
For drivers : Giving independent drivers a professional tool to manage availability, respond to opportunities, and track their income, without overwhelming them with complexity.
The goal was to design a structured digital system that simplifies heavy-load logistics while remaining practical for real-world operational use.
Designing a seamless experience
Qouiky was designed as a streamlined logistics platform that connects contractors with available drivers through a clear, step-based ordering flow.
The focus wasn’t just UI — it was building a usable operational flow.

The biggest UX challenge wasn't technical. It was psychological. Algerian users are skeptical of digital platforms that feel too smooth, For that I had to make sure that the app balances the smooth digitalization and the real life humain connection at the same time. but the real question is HOW?
Smooth On boarding process with the ability to continue authentification later for drivers - Reducing the uncomplished sign-up process due to the lack of personal documents.
Live & Scheduled deliveries request : The user can have both urgent delivery and schedule one for a another day that it will completed by the chosen driver with a live tracking of the delivery status.
Transparent negotiation UI : User can set a budget range of this task and the driver has the right to decline or send a counter offer within the Distance/Time range set by specific rate algorithms (transparent - no hidden logic)
Weight-first vehicule selection : Choose the right vehicule based on your product and then proceed logically to filter out unnecessary requests.
Step-by-step delivery tracking : clients follow their request through every stage of the delivery process, from confirmation to arrival, reducing anxiety and the need to call the driver
Notification-first driver experience : to reduce the hunt for jobs and distractions I sugested a notification based experience for drivers that had set their status as online.
Two cohesive apps, one platform — delivered solo, end-to-end.
At its core, Qouiky was designed to make two people's lives easier: a client who just needs their materials moved without stress, and a driver who wants a fair, predictable way to work.
A client who finally knows what's happening — no more calling the driver every 20 minutes, the status is right there, step by step
A driver who feels in control — they set their availability, they see the offer, they decide — on their terms
A negotiation that feels fair — both sides see the same numbers, nobody feels cheated
A process that feels trustworthy — structured enough to feel serious, simple enough to actually use
A foundation built to grow — the system is ready for whatever comes next, without starting over
This platform can expand into:
In-app payment & escrow system
Rating & trust score system
Proof of delivery (POD)
Fleet management for companies
B2B bulk delivery contracts
